A hydrosol is the water produced during steam distillation — the same gentle process used to extract essential oils — capturing the plant's beneficial properties in a much lighter, water-based form. FAQ

Why does this formula contain a preservative if it's natural skincare?
Any formula containing water needs a properly functioning preservative system — without one, it's vulnerable to bacterial and mould growth, which is a far bigger risk to your skin than a well-chosen preservative. ReWild uses a Cosmos and Ecocert-approved preservative, meaning it meets recognised natural and organic certification standards while keeping the formula genuinely safe to use over its shelf life.

Is this strong enough to actually do something, or is it mostly a comfort cream?
Both. ReWild is formulated with active ingredients — niacinamide, resveratrol, and bakuchiol — at levels intended to genuinely support the skin, alongside botanicals that make the experience comforting rather than clinical.

I can't tolerate retinol. Can I use this?
Bakuchiol was included specifically as a gentler alternative to retinol, offering similar skin-renewing support without the irritation many people experience with traditional retinoids. It's still worth patch testing if your skin is particularly reactive.

Can I use this alongside other actives in my routine?
Yes. ReWild is designed to be the first or final moisturising step, so it layers well over or under serums or after treatments used earlier in your routine.

Is this suitable for sensitive skin?
Allantoin is included specifically to help calm and buffer the formula, making it suitable for many sensitive skin types. As with any new active-containing product, patch testing is recommended if you have a history of reactivity.
