This didn't start as a brand.

It started with my daughter.

I didn't set out to read the back of a moisturiser like it was a legal document.

But here we are.

I'm Liz, an ex-nurse of 12 years, a certified skincare formulator, and a mum to a Type 1 diabetic daughter.

When she was diagnosed, everything changed.

Between insulin pumps, adhesives, sensors and constant wear, I watched what it was doing to her skin; irritation, sensitivity and barrier disruption.

I went looking for products that would help.

What I found didn't sit right.

The marketing sounded good. The labels looked impressive. But when I started looking beyond the front of the bottle and into the ingredient lists, I realised many products weren't built to support compromised skin in a meaningful way.

That's where everything shifted.

I stopped trusting the front of the bottle and started understanding the back of it.

That curiosity led me into formulation.

The more I learned, the more questions I had. So I kept studying.

I became a certified skincare formulator in 2024 and continue to study skincare science because I want to understand exactly what I'm putting on the skin, why it's there, and what purpose it serves.

Savage Åse came from that place.

Not just wanting better skincare, but wanting honesty around what's actually in it.
